Interview with Ted and Cyndi Dorr, owners

How did you get involved in this business?

After 20 years of working for a national pizza chain, we made the leap to offer “real,” wholesome food. It’s hard to sell something you don’t believe in.

What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?

It’s all sourdough. From our pizza, garlic rolls, hot and cold sandwiches to our famous olidunks. Better yet, we use “real,” wholesome ingredients without all the cheap fillers. You get what you pay for at Double D’s Sourdough Pizza, or ddPizza. Ted and Cyndi Dorr are founders and head pizza fanatics.

What do you like best about your line of work?

Helping others in a fun learning environment and selling the best pizza around.

What is your business’ biggest challenge?

Our biggest challenge is keeping up with our growth, our community has been great to us so we are creating new positions to help support our growth.

Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:

Our culture. We teach and coach self-development to our family of employees, which reaches far into supporting our community.
