Restaurant door shattered. Golden police responded Feb. 15 to El Tapatio, 714 Golden Ridge Road, on a report of a possible burglary in progress. Police found a glass entry door shattered and interior doors unlocked. The keyholder of the restaurant was contacted but never reported anything stolen or damaged.
Well-armed loiterer. A man Golden police caught loitering outside Sinclair Gas Station, 15495 W. Colfax Ave., on Feb. 14 told them he rode his bike from Idaho Springs to Arvada to see his ex-girlfriend and was looking for a ride home. Before giving him a ride, officers conducted a patdown for safety and found three throwing knives and a military-style load-bearing vest. No crime was committed.
Grocery shoplifting. A woman was issued a summons for theft Feb. 18 after Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies viewed video surveillance showing that she bought cigarettes at the customer service counter at Safeway, 27152 Main St., Conifer, and left with a cart of unpaid groceries. When confronted, she left the cart of groceries in the store. Officers later contacted the woman who said she forgot to pay.
Food fight. A man was arrested Feb. 23 after his wife reported to deputies that he accused her of having an affair and began throwing lasagna and furniture at her in their home in the 31100 block of Kings Valley Drive, west of Conifer.
Pesky pellets. A woman in the 4700 block of S. Zang Court near Morrison, reported to Jeffco deputies that her truck’s driver’s-side window had been shot out Feb. 22 and several pellets were near the area. She suspected neighborhood kids.
