An avalanche closed U.S. 40 in both directions over Berthoud Pass and buried three cars along the stretch Friday afternoon.
As of 4:30 p.m., all three cars had been uncovered and no one was hurt, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
The avalanche occurred around 3 p.m.
There is no estimated time for the reopening of U.S. 40.
