A Denver snowboarder died Monday morning after he crashed into a tree at Copper Mountain, according to 7News.
The Summit County coroner’s office identified the victim as 22-year-old Jonathan Belle of Denver.
The coroner’s office said the crash happened about 9:30 a.m. on the Vein Glory run, a beginner’s trail.
The snowboarder, who was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, was taken to St. Anthony’s Copper Mountain Clinic.
Officials said his death is under investigation.
