Getting your player ready...
If you’re commuting to work anywhere between Boulder, DIA and downtown Denver, D.R. Horton has a grand opening this month that will give you a whole new way of navigating. Quebec Highlands, close to the highest point in the master-planned city of Thornton, not only has stunning city-mountain views that will take you by surprise; but also lies one mile from a coming interchange on the 470 beltway that’s set to change the landscape for metro-north commuters in spring 2015.
You’re going to see a very attractive “Geneva” plan from D.R. Horton’s new Summit Series – modeled with seven bedrooms and a finished basement for a total square footage of 4,971 – the most luxurious of four model homes from three separate collections opening at Quebec Highlands. If you like the look of that home (which you will), sales rep Nathan Brough can show you one of the same plan that can deliver this May, on a corner, daylight garden-level site. With home inventory dropping around Denver this spring, buyers that end up building from the ground up, either because they miss out on the early deliveries or because they really want to wait, could end up moving in around the time E470 opens its Quebec interchange – around 18 minutes to DIA, 18 minutes into Interlocken and U.S. 36. The Geneva is a good looker on the outside; eye-catching inside for its wide-open connections between the kitchen-family area and formal dining, study, and a main-floor (fifth) bedroom. The master and bath are stunning (9-foot ceilings, sitting area, terrific built-ins that aren’t just for looks, you can actually order them); kids’ bedrooms with their own walk-in closets; ‘Emerald’ kitchen with 5-burner gas cooktop, pot-filler, hardwood floors, and two separate granite-topped seating areas. “It’s a mother’s dream home,” said Liz Sleeman, D.R. Horton vice president of sales & marketing, showing off the Geneva.Sleeman added that D.R. Horton is proud to have been named America’s number-one builder by Builder Magazine. “Why would you settle for anything less than number one?” she asked. Quebec Highlands becomes D.R Horton’s largest model complex (the nation’s largest builder for 11 years running has five communities opening in Colorado in the next 120 days). Prices are from the mid-$300s, including D.R. Horton’s ‘Total Package’ standard features of granite countertops, full appliances, landscaping, irrigation and fencing, to name a few. There’s also a hilltop park with trail fitness stations already set; and tax rates, Brough says are, low. To visit, from I-25 take E. 120th Avenue east to Holly Street, turn north up Holly to E. 128th Avenue, then right to Quebec, and left to 138th (D.R. Horton still has a couple of homes nearby at their King Ranch community from the $420s). WHERE: Grand Opening, Quebec Highlands by D.R.
