As Colorado’s market picks up speed, Lennar Homes has been watching the Southlands area — with its 470 commuter access, shopping, and Cherry Creek Schools – for the right moment to launch new home designs. That moment is now, as Lennar gives you the first look at two new models at Copperleaf – walking distance from Eagle Crest High School, directly across from a community pool.
“It’s a prime location in the Southeast corridor where we’ve been looking for opportunities,” says Matt Cassidy, regional sales manager, who was doing a check through Lennar’s big-family Belmont plan, one of two models getting set for its first visitors this weekend. It’s shown as a five-bedroom-plus-a-study home that could accommodate six – just under 3,000 square feet of finished space, plus full basement included from $389,900. Copperleaf, with its pool/clubhouse already in place right across from Lennar’s sites, has had other builders showing homes for years. But Lennar has tallied three sales during the snowy weather before the models were viewable, based not just on the floor plans, but also its “Everything’s Included” approach to options and standard features. “They’re getting front and backyard landscape included at the price,” says Frankie Urban, who along with Jennifer Kremer will welcome you today. Also wrapped in, she adds, are a gas fireplace, nine-foot ceilings on the main level, all kitchen appliances, slab granite counters with full backsplashes, hardwood floors in kitchen-nook and entry area, 2-inch window blinds, and smart-home features by Nexia including a touchpad entry. Those features absolutely make a difference to buyers, according to Urban. “Life is simple; there are no surprises on pricing,” she adds. Meanwhile, samplings of visitors who have had an early look at these suggest that many will be relocating – taking advantage of the easy 470 commute south to DTC and Meridian, or north to DIA, Buckley AFB and Raytheon. But even more are arriving from nearby areas like Saddle Rock, where buyers have been waiting to move up. Lennar already has four homes underway that could be ready for move-in by May, including a roomy Graham ranch, 1,974 square feet; and a Monterey family-sized home, four bedrooms plus a fifth on the main floor, both set for May delivery. “There are not a lot of new homes out there now, and Lennar is offering opportunities to move up in the next three-to-five months soon that you won’t find everyplace,” adds Cassidy.
