
Cruising with a beer. A patrolling officer stopped a truck in the 900 block of Moline Street on March 26 because the truck had two different license plates. The officer discovered that the driver had two open beers in the center console. He was given a summons.
Change drawer discrepancy. An employee of Chick-fil-A, 1198 S. Havana St., called police when she realized she had two counterfeit $10 bills in her change drawer March 24. There are no suspects.
Unsafe transportation. Multiple people called police about a drunken woman trying to drive away from the Frontier Club, 18881 E. Colfax Ave., on March 22. The woman said she was trying to get her boyfriend to the hospital after he had been in a fight.
Pocket snooping. Police were called to the 1600 block of Boston Street because two men were fighting March 21. One man was sleeping in a doorway when he woke up and saw the other man going through his pockets. The sleeping man said he punched the pocket picker in the face. Neither man wanted to press charges.
Cellphone switch. A woman called police after a man stole her cellphone from her home in the 2500 block of Kenton Street. The woman said the man was visiting her March 20, and said they should trade phones because he liked hers. She refused, but he took it anyway.
Found gas cans. An officer found two empty gas cans with a man’s phone number written on them in the 19800 block of East Brunswick Drive. The officer called the number and a man said the gas cans had been stolen March 18.
