On Wednesday, April 9, United States Truck Driving School will host Denver’s largest Annual Truck Driving Career Fair. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., recruiters from more than 15 trucking companies will be pre-hiring both experienced CDL holders, and men and women interested in getting started as professional
truck drivers.
With well over 200,000 new drivers needed today, finding qualified truck drivers has become an alarming problem. United States Truck Driving School will be attempting to recruit 70-100 new Driver Trainees to enter their accelerated training program.
In order to attract more drivers, the trucking industry is doing its part by raising pay, offering substantial bonus programs, exceptional health benefits and getting drivers home more frequently. In fact, the average salary for a driver with two or more years of experience is more than $50,000 per year.
And right now, to help more people get started as professional truck drivers, many trucking companies will help cover the CDL training costs for the men and women they pre-hire.
