
Nothing to see here. On March 27, Arvada police made contact with a man who had a flashlight, several cellphones in a plastic bag and bottle of penicillin in the parking lot of Safeway, West 80th Avenue and Wadsworth Boulevard. The male said the cellphones were from his girlfriend and a search of the area gave no evidence of vehicle break-ins.
Fake MoneyGram. On March 27, Arvada police contacted an individual in Newcastle, Wyo., who received two $950 MoneyGram orders with an Arvada address and a man’s name. The orders were not valid, and a database search failed to find a match with the man’s name.
Wallet goes missing. On March 27, Arvada police contacted a woman who said she had left a Broncos jacket and wallet at Jack in the Box, 5164, Kipling St., on March 23. When she arrived to pick them up, her wallet was missing. Police were unable to contact a suspect.
Missles thrown. On March 28, police issued a summons for throwing missiles and another one for careless driving after drivers of two vehicles got in an argument while stopped at Wadsworth Boulevard and West 68th Avenue. The drivers threw a lighter and cup of soda at one another before the driver of a Volkswagen Jetta hit the other vehicle.
Restraining order ignored. Police pulled over a Toyota with expired tags on 58th Avenue and Wadsworth Boulevard on April 1. The driver was sitting next to a female who had a restraining order against him. He was arrested for violating a protection order and driving with a suspended license.
