Broken window. On April 9, a Douglas County Sheriff’s Office deputy was dispatched to the 100 block of West Colorado Avenue, where someone had shot a projectile at a woman’s front door and shattered the outer glass. The projectile, likely a BB, could not be found.

AWOL. On April 9, a deputy took a call about a theft that happened between a storage facility and a home in the 9700 block of Pyramid Court, where a woman found a box of military gowns missing. The gowns were valued at $890.

Possible fraud. On April 5, a deputy responded to Walgreen’s, 9141 S. Broadway, where a man had called claiming to be from corporate headquarters and said he would need Green Dot cards loaded with $25 to test defective readers. The employee did not believe him.

Garage sale theft. On April 4, a deputy was dispatched to the 5500 block of Jaguar Way, where a woman said she had a garage sale and had placed a bag of money she made on her kitchen counter. After the sale, she found it was gone.

Debit card fraud. On April 4, a deputy was dispatched to the 54o0 block of Hospitality Place, where a man found someone had used his debit card to make $485 in online purchases. He believed his information might have been compromised after using the card at Target.

Out of the park. On April 3, a deputy was contacted by the head of baseball at Chaparral High School, 15655 Brookstone Drive, who said someone broke into the baseball shed and stole 27 baseballs, Oakley sunglasses and other items totaling $2,050.
