Shoplifter escapes. Arvada police were called to King Soopers, 8055 Sheridan Blvd., on April 3 after a loss prevention officer observed a man stuff $85.82 worth of hair products in his pocket and walk out of the store. The employee detained the man, who said he didn’t have his ID on him then fled the area.

Cars used as target practice. Police were called to Goomba’s Pizza, 10500 Ralston Road, on April 3 to investigate two reports of vehicles being shot with BBs as the drivers left the parking lot. Pencil-sized holes were observed in the cars and no suspects were identified.

Window shatters spontaneously. On April 5, police were called to the area of West 58th Avenue and Wadsworth Boulevard to contact the driver of a vehicle whose windshield shattered spontaneously. It was unknown what made the window shatter, but the driver did find a pellet-sized plastic object under her seat later that day.

Suspect admits he did a “stupid thing.” Police were dispatched to the 6800 block of Dover Street on April 9 after a worker at the residence observed a man with whom he had gotten into a traffic incident last year call him a name and dump motor oil over the interior of his car. Police located the man who admitted he did “a stupid thing” before being issued a summons for criminal mischief.
