Summer Infant video monitor batteries
Details: The recall involves rechargeable batteries in Summer Infant handheld color video monitors. The rechargeable batteries are about 1 ½ inches tall by 2 ¼ inches wide and are ¼ inch thick, black and are marked with “TCL” on the lower right corner of the battery. Monitors are sold with a matching camera and A/C adaptors. Battery serial numbers can be found at
Why: The battery in the handheld video monitor can overheat and rupture, posing a burn hazard to consumers.
Incidents: Summer Infant has received 22 reports of overheated and ruptured batteries, including incidents of smoke and minor property damage.
How many: About 800,000 batteries (about 58,800 were recalled in February 2011)

PetSmart glass fish bowls
Details: This recall involves the 1.75-gallon glass fish bowl that is shaped like a brandy snifter. These fish bowls were sold under the Great Choice or Top Fin brand names with SKU number 5140161 and UPC code 737257187092. The SKU and UPC codes are printed on a white sticker on the bottom of the fish bowl.
Why: The glass fish bowls can crack, shatter or break during normal handling, posing a laceration hazard to consumers.
Incidents: PetSmart has received 10 reports of the glass fish bowl breaking during normal use, including five reports of cuts to fingers and a knee. Four of the cuts required stitches. One required surgery for a cut tendon in a consumer’s finger.

Excalibur Matrix Mega 405 Crossbows
Details: This recall involves the Excalibur Matrix Mega 405 crossbows. Matrix 405 is printed on a label on the left side of the stock. The crossbow was sold in a mossy oak treestand camouflage pattern. The crossbow measures about 36 inches long and was sold individually or as part of a package with a black scope, four-arrow quiver and bracket, four arrows, four 150-grain field points and a rope-cocking aid.
Why: The crossbow can fire an arrow without the trigger being pulled, posing an injury hazard to the user and to bystanders.
Incidents: Excalibur has received one report of the crossbow firing unexpectedly. No injuries have been reported.
