Google is hosting a free hackathon in May that will challenge 300 software developers to solve problems tied to public data in Colorado and Wyoming. Teams will be awarded up to $5,000 if their solutions impress a panel of judges. The event will be held at Galvanize, 1062 Delaware St. The actual challenges for the competition will be announced May 17. The hackahon will run from May 17 to May 18.
