
1 Aluminum treasure. An employee of Sturgeon Electric at 3701 E. 68th Ave. called police April 21 because someone cut hundreds of dollars worth of aluminum wiring from a large bundle that was sitting out on the property.
2 Foiled phishing scheme. Police were called to a woman’s home in the 12200 block of Kalispell Street in reference to an attempted identity theft. The victim said an online bill payment company contacted her about a suspicious person trying to get her information April 16. No money was lost.
3 Refusing help. The girlfriend of a man who lives in the 9500 block of Clayton Street called police April 13 because her boyfriend was hurt during a fight. Police called for a medic, and the man became angry. He refused treatment and threatened officers, so he was arrested.
4 Walking and urinating. A patrolling officer noticed a man urinating next to his parked car outside Platinum 84 at 8485 Umatilla St. April 9. When the suspect saw the patrol car, he began walking back to the club without pulling up his pants. The officer stopped the drunken man while he was urinating on himself and cited him.
5 Scam artists. A woman called police after she gave $7,000 to two women pretending to be lottery winners April 8. The victim said the women approached her at a store and told her that they won $1 million, but they needed money to claim the prize. The victim went to her home in the 9700 block of Elderberry Street to get cash and gave it to the women, who said they would split their winnings with her. She never saw them again.
