Denver Police are investigating a hit-and-run accident involving a pedestrian on Colfax Avenue.
The police sent out a message through Twitter at about 8:45 p.m. Wednesday stating the accident happened near East Colfax Avenue and Ulster Street, when a vehicle hit a man. Westbound Colfax Avenue is closed because of the investigation.
Police said on Twitter they are looking for a white Dodge Challenger with unknown license plates heading west on Colfax and then north on Tamarac Street.
The man was transported to the hospital.
Sgt. Steve Warneke, a spokesman for Denver Police, said the man’s injuries do not at this point rise to the level of serious bodily injury.
