Interview with Randy and Michelle Parscal, owners
Q: How did you get involved in this business?
A: We are a third-generation, Colorado, family-owned and operated flooring and remodeling store. Randy has been installing new bathrooms, kitchen counter tops and back splashes and flooring since he was 16 years old. He has lived the business, which has taught and molded him into knowing all aspects of remodeling and flooring and being able to uphold the honor of being called an expert.
Q: What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?
A: We are different from other flooring and remodeling businesses because we are a small business and we run our business that way. It is very important to us that our customers are 100-percent satisfied with their experience and overall result in the products used and the work done. We know that redoing anything in your home is a big deal, and nothing pleases us more than our customers elated with the results we leave them. We start by bringing in samples of your liking, and free in-home estimates and design consultations, and end with happy customers who are more than willing to let their family, friends and neighbors know about the positive experience they had with Custom Flooring Specialists.
Q: What do you like best about your line of work?
A: I, Michelle, really enjoy working with customers. Meeting new people and being able to help them achieve their goals in living in a more comfortable environment. I love helping with the design, if needed, and coming up with new and beautiful projects for my customers.
Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?
A: Our biggest challenge is making the public aware that even though we have a showroom that looks like a boutique and we use products that are higher quality then the big box stores, our pricing is very competitive with the big box stores, and on many occasions we are able to beat their pricing.
Q: Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:
A: We are a God-centered family business. We are honored to have the blessing of running a small business in this great nation, which we are very proud of.
