1 Man blames theft on ex-wife. Arvada police were called to the 5300 block of Gray Court on April 30 after a man reported his ex-wife had stolen items out of his storage shed while she was picking up property. The man estimated his two paintings, three appliances and a wooden jester were valued at $11,000. His ex-wife denied taking the property.

2 Wind or attempted burglary? A homeowner in the 6000 block of Deframe Court, Arvada, called police May 1 to report a window screen had been displaced from her home.

3 Crowbar brandished. Arvada police were called to the Shell gas station at 6400 Sheridan Blvd. on May 1 on reports of a fight. Police pulled over a suspect, who said he had been followed and yelled at for playing loud music. He pulled into a gas station parking lot, where he was chased by a man with a crowbar.

4 Assault. Arvada police arrested a man May 3 in the area of West 53rd Avenue and Jellison Street after he admitted to pushing his girlfriend in the chest during an argument.

5 Bicylce brawl. Police were called to the 7-Eleven at 7355 W. 58th Ave., Arvada, on May 5 after the clerk reported three males were fighting. One of the participants said he was jumped by two men over ownership of a bicycle. He declined to press charges.

6 Serial milk stealer. Police took a phone report May 7 after milk and eggs were stolen from the front porch of a home in the 5700 block of Reed Street, Arvada. The report followed two other milk thefts in the area.
