If you know , you know they don’t really give a damn about their album titles — there’s “Blue,” “Green,” “Make Believe” and the crown jewel, “Hurley,” to name a few. Today, Weezer announced the title of its first album in four years, and it has a very non-Weezer title, “Everything Will Be Alright in the End.”
Let’s try it again, “Everything Will Be Alright in the End.” What is this? The Roots, Connor Oberst? Maybe after two decades they’ve grown up.
The album, Weezer’s follow up to 2010’s “Hurley,” was produced by Ric Ocasek. We don’t have any information outside of the weird teaser videos that the band shared today, which include some brief clips of music that are presumably new Weezer tracks.
There’s no release date yet, but we can hope the album is out before Weezer in September.
