
1 Unwanted shower guest. Commerce City police arrested a man who broke into his ex-girlfriend’s home to take a shower and then steal her car June 6. The woman’s nephew went to her home in the 6400 block of East 66th Place and found the suspect just getting out of the shower. After the nephew called his aunt, the man drove off with her car. He later returned the car and was arrested.
2 Banned breed. People working in the 13800 block of East 105th Place in Commerce City called police about two pit bulls that were barking at them from someone’s backyard. The dogs’ owner told the responding officer that he would find a new home for them June 3.
3 Double dissed. A man called police to his home in the 2900 block of Hawk Street in Federal Heights because someone keyed the doors on both of his cars June 2.
4 Irresponsible friends. A Thornton man’s car was stolen from the home of friend who lives in the 1600 block of West 85th Avenue in Federal Heights. The victim said his friend borrowed the car June 1 and then couldn’t find it the next day.
5 Grocery stealing. The manager of the Safeway at 10300 Federal Blvd. in Federal Heights called police after a woman with a basket full of unpaid for groceries ran out of the store May 31.
6 Insulting for money. A group of homeless people asked a man and woman for some cash outside Federal Plaza Liquors at 10350 Federal Blvd. in Federal Heights May 31. When the couple repeatedly refused, the group started cussing and spitting on them. Police cited some members of the group for disorderly conduct.
