1 Fatherly instincts. Golden police responded to a disturbance May 31 at Splash at Fossil Trace, 3151 Illinois St. A woman said a man hit her son in the eye with a Nerf football. The man cited his “fatherly instincts” when he threw the football at the boy in an attempt to stop him from playing roughly with his own son. The man said he did not intend to hurt the boy. No charges were filed.
2 Family affair. Golden police went to a residence in the 200 block of Cheyenne St., Golden, after two adult siblings — a brother and sister — each claimed they were headbutted by the other. The conflict began when the man ate his sister’s food.
3 Stuffing at the diner. Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies went to The Mountain Diner, 26291 Colorado 74, Kittredge, on June 5. A patron confirmed she “heard a ruckus” and saw one woman shove money into another woman’s shirt. The women were in a tenant-landlord dispute. The landlord, who stuffed the money down the shirt, was issued a summons for harassment.
4 Caught black-gloved. Deputies received a report June 5 of a suspicious person in the 28600 block of Pine Drive, Evergreen. A resident said he encountered a white male in his mid-20s tugging on his front door. He was wearing black gloves, had a canvas bag over his shoulder and was surprised when the resident came to the door.
5 Newlywed drama. On June 3, deputies went to the 4900 block of Camel Heights Road, Evergreen, where a husband had poured beer on legal papers belonging to his wife of one month. He was arrested for second-degree tampering.
