A Golden-based developer has announced that construction will start this month on a 267-unit apartment complex dubbed Union West near the Federal Center light-rail station.

Confluence’s website boasts that “residents will have access to a cyber cafe, a sky lounge with a roof top deck, multiple fireplaces, a health club quality fitness center, enclosed bike storage, a bike maintenance area, a dog wash room, and easy access to the community trail system that runs through the property.”
The project is one of many that and ties into the city’s long term plan to see
“This project gives the Union corridor the density the city has been looking for to support commercial activity,” said Paul Rice, Lakewood’s manager of planning and development assistance.
Construction is slated to be finished late summer of 2015.
