When chapter of embarked on what is now its signature fundraiser, a luncheon, calendar sale and fashion show starring 12 , there were those who questioned the event’s longevity.

“After our first year, people told us we’d soon run out of men,” observed chapter president Alicia Harvey. Speaking at the Macy’s Cherry Creek reception where men whose images will grace the 2015 calendar were introduced, Harvey assured the audience that the supply is far from being depleted.

Five-time National Basketball Association All-Star Chauncey Billups; attorney Eddie Koen Jr., who in July becomes Colorado executive director for ; and Lonnie Porter, Colorado’s all-time winningest men’s collegiate basketball coach, are among the 2015 M.O.D.E.L. Men.

Others introduced by mistress of ceremonies Heather Barry were Marcus T. Walker, athletic director and dean of students at ; Grant Jones, founder and executive director of the ; Gregory John Crichlow, an architect and owner of ; Jeffrey T. Smith, a manager at and 34-year member of fraternity; Skeet Johnson, who, after retiring as a public defender, became a guardian ad litem for the state of Colorado and has made humanitarian missions to Uganda and Ethiopia with ; Kevin Marchman, founder and executive director of the ; Dedrick J. Sims, founder and executive director of ; and retired executive Steve Jones.

The Rev. Robert Woolfolk, senior pastor at and a pillar of the Five Points/Curtis Park community for 35 years, also is a M.O.D.E. L. Man but was unable to attend the reception.

The M.O.D.E.L. Awards Luncheon, a benefit for Epsilon Nu Omega’s scholarship fund, will be held Sept. 20 at the Hyatt Regency Tech Center. Tickets are $65 and can be purchased
