On Wednesday night, debuted the new song, “Harsh Lights,” during the special Orlando edition of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”

Armed with a gold microphone and a delicious Grease-style, T-Birds silk jacket, Nate Ruess wooed the geeky crowd with hipster dance moves, leather loafers and lyrics filled with “whoas” and dreams of “slipping into midnight.”

“The Tonight Show” is in Orlando this week promoting the nerd’s dream/expansion of Diagon Alley in the Harry Potter theme park. Over 800 fans were prepped and ready to party at Orlando’s Universal Resort and fun. was the perfect chaser to Fallon’s promotion of the park’s new edition.

fun.’s small hiatus has had some fans concerned since guitarist Jack Antonoff’s solo project took off, but they definitely got their fix last night. Although there is no specific release date or title for fun.’s new album, “Harsh Lights” has the same catchy, upbeat, wave your hands in the air tempo as “We Are Young” and “Some Nights.”

fun. will play at JAS Aspen Snowmass’ Labor Day festival.
