The Avalanche will be doing a lot more traveling than usual for its eight-game preseason schedule, which was announced Friday.
Included in the schedules are games Sept. 25 and 26 in Montreal and Quebec City, both against the Canadiens. The Avs will play at the Quebec Colisee — the home of the Quebec Nordiques, who moved to Denver in 1995 and became the Avalanche.
The Avs will play Sept. 30 in Calgary against the Flames, and Oct. 2 at the Broadmoor World Arena against the defending Stanley Cup champion Los Angeles Kings. The preseason will finish Oct. 4 in Las Vegas against the Kings at MGM Grand Garden Arena.
Only two of the eight preseason games will be at the Pepsi Center.
