An Aurora fire that gutted a home early Tuesday is being called an intentional fire but not necessarily an arson, authorities say, because it might have been an accident.
Aurora fire crews were called just after 3 a.m. Tuesday about a smoke investigation at a home at 20304 E. Vassar Ave., said Capt. Diane Lord, Aurora fire spokeswoman.
When firefighters arrived, the home was fully engulfed. No one was injured in the blaze. A woman and her dog were able to get out of the home before firefighters arrived.
