A man taken to a local hospital Tuesday morning after being shot in a northwest Denver home suffered non life-threatening injuries in the incident.
Police were called about 1:15 a.m. to the 4000 block of Navajo Street on a report of a shooting, according to Denver Police spokeswoman Raquel Lopez.
Lopez said the gunman, described as a black male in his 20s, knocked on the victim’s door. When the victim opened it, the would-be intruder tried to force his way into the victim’s house. The victim resisted and the gunman shot him, Lopez said.
The shooter remains at-large.
