Robert E. Golden has been named president and CEO of the South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce.

Golden will assume office immediately.

Golden was previously president of Golden Solution LLC, a consulting firm. He also held executive positions with the Realtors Association in Colorado, Vermont and Florida for 17 years.

He is a certified association executive
and Realtor certified executive.

Chamber Board of Directors chairman-elect Rick Whipple said in a statement that Golden brings great community leadership skills to the position. Whipple, CEO of Whipplewood CPAs, also called Golden a team player and collaborator.

Golden said in a statement that he is looking forward to leading the chamber and focusing on economic development, public policy, education and infrastructure.

The South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit, nonpartisan, business advocacy organization.

Formed in 1921, the chamber has provided key support for the C-470 highway, light rail, Centennial Airport and the creation of the city of Centennial.
