Getting your player ready...

Saturday. As ridiculous and gimmicky as professional wrestling may seem to some, it’s easy to understand why it still thrives. People of a certain age harbor nostalgia for the boom days of Hulk Hogan, the Rock or “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, and kids love the deafening, strobe-lit spectacle that still surrounds the main event. The latest visit from the WWE crew will feature names familiar to fans of WWE’s TV matches, including Sheamus (pictured), Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Alberto Del Rio, Sin Cara and Big E. Why not just submit to the gleeful pummeling? Matches for the “WWE Live: SummerSlam Heatwave Tour” start at 7:30 p.m. July 5 at the 1stBank Center, 111450 Broomfield Lane in Broomfield. Tickets are $19-$99 and available by calling 303-893-8497 or visiting .
