Firefighters rescued three dogs from a house fire in Broomfield Thursday afternoon before extinguishing the blaze.
Fire crews from North Metro Fire arrived to the residence on the 13000 block of King Circle about 4 p.m. after the homeowner called to report that his porch was ablaze, according to spokeswoman Sara Farris. Two people inside the home got out before crews arrived.
The fire entered the house through the attic, damaging it.
“The cause is under investigation,” Farris said. “Right now, there are no unusual circumstances” to suggest it was arson.
