Denver rock band ! released a new EP undercover. Steal the title track now.
For over a decade now, musician Joe Norris has been performing and recording as Spies! And he’s taken the moniker to heart.
A spy is adept at blending in, and a crowd can be excellent camouflage. While there are currently three or four dedicated members, Norris has worked with an estimated 20 musicians since Spies! inception. He says that he is interested in how songs can be transformed by different settings, as in studio and live, as well as different players. While he may use anything available in the studio, like cellos and glockenspiels, live the music is stripped raw, laid bone-bare on the stage.
The result is an impressive musical diversity that completing disregards genre, though the music is largely radio-ready guitar rock.
Spies! recently released EP, “Watercolor Love,” is available for $5 purchase on Bandcamp. You can steal the title track below, then check out the video .
