Eaglecrest’s Jordyn Poulter and Lewis-Palmer’s Alexa Smith helped the U.S. Women’s Junior National Team in Guatemala City, Guatemala.
Team USA beat Cuba 25-15, 25-22, 25-16 in the championship match Sunday. The American didn’t drop a single set in the tournament.
Poulter recorded 17 running sets on 65 attempts in the gold medal round, and Smith added six points. The victory was the Americans’ fifth in the last six Continental championships.
