A motorcyclist died Monday when he was thrown from the bike after hitting a car that turned into his lane in Aurora, police said.
The crash at East Mississippi Avenue and South Quentin Street happened about 6:23 p.m. Police haven’t identified the motorcyclist or driver.
The motorcyclist was traveling west in the right lane of Mississippi when a silver car turned left from eastbound Mississippi, north into a business entrance.
The bike struck the passenger side of the car. The rider, who wasn’t wearing a helmet, was thrown over the car and onto the roadway.
He died at a hospital.
The man driving the car wasn’t injured.
Police do not suspect that excessive speed or intoxication was involved in the accident.
