In a market where luxury single-level plans are a rarity, see a lakefront ranch in Colorado Golf Club from $890s

Getting your player ready...

On a weekend when Colorado’s Front Range is suddenly the fastest selling market in the country and for-sale homes are getting to be a rarity, Colorado Golf Club has something rarer still to show you: luxury patio-ranch plans with low-maintenance lock-n-leave features, in a setting prized for its world-class golf and its views.

“Home inventory, particularly for ranch plans, is so low right now that this is even more of an opportunity,” says Mimi Sturtevant, Colorado Golf Club real estate project manager for Fuller Sotheby’s International Realty, exclusive agents for Betts Lake – an enclave of luxury-walkout ranches overlooking the Club’s 9-acre Betts Lake.

Sturtevant will give you a chance to get behind the gates at Colorado Golf Club in Parker – site of last year’s Solheim Cup international tourney between top U.S. and European women golfers – to tour two Mediterranean styled ranches, each with views that could be a million miles from Denver; actually five minutes from a King Soopers, and twenty minutes from office campuses in Meridian and DTC.

That mix of solitude and surprising access is adding even more fuel to a hot market now, says Sturtevant. “We’re seeing California buyers that want more for their money – more land and seclusion, but who still want to be close to everything. That’s exactly what we offer, along with lakefront views that are increasingly priceless.”

Betts Lake’s prices start from a modest $895,000 – for luxury-sized single-level plans that show lavishly styled architecture by award-winning Karen Keating/TKP Architects, exteriors with tile roof, troweled interior walls, generous stone and timber trim, and kitchens with premium appliances, alder cabinets, and solid-state granite tops. The price includes a finished walkout level (the very smallest home offers 2,648 finished square feet and some go to 3,400 square feet), plus a 3-car garage (4-car available) on a lower-maintenance lot. A low water-use landscape with plenty of perennials is included.

“This is for a buyer that’s having a hard time finding a high level of finish today,” Sturtevant adds. “They want things personalized, but they don’t have the time for a major project and brain damage.” Plans at Betts Lake, she notes, give them flexibility for creating spaces around their particular life situation – including loads of options for configuring guest suites, home offices and outdoor living spaces.

Meanwhile, all of this is set against the backdrop of the 7,604- yard course by Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore, showcased from a 44,000- foot clubhouse, with a resort-styled pool complex scheduled to open next Memorial Day. Colorado Golf Club has now attracted over 350 members – although, Sturtevant notes, two out of five buyers are purchasing even though they haven’t joined. That decision is easier still for you if you act during the next three months: Take a $10,000 incentive toward membership.

That offer also applies to two ready-to-move ranches you’ll tour this weekend – priced at $1.5 million and $1.6 million, each with FOUR-car garage and views across the lake to the back ranges that you’ll have to see to appreciate. Sturtevant can take the play to a higher level, if you want: In addition to 32 home sites clustered near Betts Lake, she’ll show you custom sites in Colorado Golf Club from the $300s, yielding homes from $1.5 to $5 million.

That $895,000 entry price is for real, Sturtevant notes: Two lots at Betts Lake have NO lot premium. Betts Lake at Colorado Golf Club is open today; but Sturtevant has special open houses tomorrow and Sunday, with refreshments. Take E-470 to Parker Road, head south five miles to Stroh Road, then east a long block to the entry drive, and south to the club entrance and gate for a map.
