Hey Jack White,
We (and the rest of the Internet) saw the above picture. We feel for you, man. You try to go to a Cubs game and you turn into a meme with captions like “I Miss Meg” and “Saw Someone Wearing a Black Keys Shirt.” That’s not the American pastime we grew up with.
So, here’s what we’re gonna do, Jack. You’re in town on Aug. 20 and we’d like to show you a good time — it can’t be all vinyl, vintage shirts and screaming guitar solos all the time. When you’re in Colorado, the Rockies play the Royals at Coors Field and we’d like to formally invite Jack to the game: Tickets are on us — maybe our bosses will give us the company box seats. We’ll get ourselves a couple “Rockies Dogs.”
Jack, you’ll want a few Coors in a souvenir glass and Dippin’ Dots after the 7th Inning Stretch, obviously. And, Jack, bring your glove, because you’re definitely catching a foul ball at this baseball outing!
Sure, the Rockies aren’t doing spectacular, but the field is beautiful, the fans are nice and sometimes we win! We can picture the headlines already: “Jack White all smiles as the Rockies Thump the Royals 17-0.”
