The Archuleta County Fair in Pagosa Springs is July 31-Aug. 3. Filled with children’s activities, rodeos, circus performers and livestock auctions, this weekend has plenty of fun for kids and adults.
Mining history
Leadville’s annual Boom Days is Aug. 1-3. This celebration of the town’s mining heritage features events like a parade, craft fair, mining competitions, a rod and gun show and the 21-mile International Pack Burro Race.
Wild West
The Del Norte Covered Wagon Days are Aug. 1-3. The festival honors Del Norte’s history with a parade, quilt show, Wild West re-enactments and more.
Happy birthday, Colorado
Colorado turns 138 on Aug. 1, and to celebrate there will be free entry into all state parks on Aug. 4, as well as celebrations around the state, including free admissions at regional museums Aug. 1-2.
