Heavy traffic has developed on Interstate 70 westbound between Evergreen and Idaho Springs on Saturday afternoon, the Colorado Department of Transportation said about 2 p.m.
Motorists should expect 30-plus minute delays in those areas.
The department also reported eastbound delays on the interstate approaching Denver. Those were less severe.
No blasting is scheduled for the twin tunnels this weekend, the department said.
