Two Fort Carson soldiers fighting in Afghanistan died Thursday after an improvised explosive device attack on their vehicle, the Department of Defense said Friday.
Staff Sgt. Benjamin G. Prange, 30, of Hickman, Neb., and Pfc. Keith M. Williams, 19,of Visalia, Calif.,were assigned to the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, at Fort Carson and were fighting in Operation Enduring Freedom.
Prange served six years and six months in the Army and was in his third tour of duty in Afghanistan. He was married to Elizabeth Prange since 2009, according to his Facebook page.
