
Police in Denver are seeking he public’s help in identifying a shoplifter who sprayed a store clerk with a chemical as part of his getaway.
The incident happened about 11:30 a.m. July 31 at a 7-Eleven store, 2396 S. Federal Blvd., according to a Metro Denver Crime Stoppers media release.
Police said the man in the photographs entered the store and took several items without paying, and sprayed a clerk with a chemical as he left.
Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic man, between the ages of 22 to 29, about 5-feet 8-inches tall and 180 pounds. He had a moustache, at the time of the incident, and a tattoo under his right eye.
Anyone who recognizes the man, or who has information on the case, is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 720 913-STOP (7867). Tips can also be sent by text: 274637 (CRIMES) then title DMCS and enter a message.
Crime Stoppers collects information on unsolved crimes or individuals wanted by the police. Callers can remain anonymous. The tip line operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
