1 Woman burns boyfriend’s clothes. On July 31, Denver Police responded to a domestic incident in the 12300 block of East Albrook Drive. Police contacted a woman who had gotten into an argument with her boyfriend, pulled two of his sweatshirts out of his backpack and lit them on fire. The clothes were on fire in the Montbello Park-n-Ride.

2 Just say no doesn’t work out. A man called Denver Police on Aug. 1 after he was assaulted and robbed in the 1100 block of Park Avenue West. The victim told police a man approached and asked if he wanted to buy crack. When he said ‘no,’ the suspect hit him and took his bike. The victim was able to get his bike back but said his wallet was missing.

3 Victim threatened with shanking. On Aug. 3, a man called Denver Police after he was robbed by two men in the 1800 block of West Mississippi Avenue. The man said he was approached by the men, one of whom demanded his money and he would be “shanked” if he didn’t comply. The victim said the suspects didn’t obtain anything of value and fled.

4 Burglary victim didn’t lock door. A woman called Denver Police on Aug. 4 about a burglary in the 1000 block of South Quivas Street. A witness told police that he saw the man enter the apartment and take things.

5 Man steals tequila, destroys it. On Aug. 5, a man called Denver Police after a suspect stole a bottle of tequila from his liquor store in the 1600 block of Champa Street. The man said the suspect took the bottle and ran out of the store. When he gave chase the suspect smashed the bottle.
