1 Fake ID. On Aug. 6, a Douglas County Sheriff’s Office deputy was dispatched to King Soopers,2205 Wildcat Reserve Parkway, Highlands Ranch, where someone with a fake ID from Pennsylvania tried to buy beer in the self-checkout lane. When confronted about the ID, the man ran out the door.

2 Mailboxes damaged. On Aug. 4, a deputy took a call for a crime that happened in the 12700 block of North Timber Lanein Parker where a woman’s mailbox had been damaged by a large item like a pipe or a bat. Other mailboxes in the area had been damaged.

3 Garage theft. On Aug. 4 a deputy responded to the 6400 block of Nassau Court in Highlands Ranch where someone had broken in a woman’s garage, the door of which was cracked, and stole $19 in cash from her unlocked car and moved a lot of items around.

4 Vehicle trespass. On Aug. 4, a deputy responded to the 8300 block of Bluegrass Circlein Parker where someone had broke into a couple’s car and stole $60 in cash and $250 in gift cards from the woman’s purse.

5 Window broken. On Aug. 1 a deputy responded to the 8100 block of East Green Hollow Courtin Parker where someone had smashed the side window of a woman’s van but did not take anything from the car. The window will cost $300 to replace.

6 Golf damage. On Aug. 1, a deputy was dispatched to Castle Pines Golf Club,1000 Hummingbird Drive, where someone had used the cup marker flag to damage parts of the green and poke several other holes, leaving about $500 in damage, according to the superintendent.
