Interview with Mark Zalmanek, president
Q: How did you get involved in this business?
A: I was very curious when I was a child about how things work, and have always liked cars.
Q: What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?
A: We like to do large jobs. Many companies involved in this business do not rebuild things anymore. We also advise what repairs will be coming up in the future based on service history of other cars.
Q: What do you like best about your line of work?
A: I like customers who realize the value they are getting by coming to my shop, and I enjoy the interaction with customers I have gotten to know.
Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?
A: It seems hard to find people that want to do this kind of work.
Q: Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:
A: We can do software upgrades to BMWs and Porsches. We can rebuild water-cooled Porsches creating a larger-displacement engine.
