At the Denver County Fair’s “Pot Pavilion” earlier this month, no actual marijuana was permitted — only photos of pot plants and edibles. But several patrons have sued a vendor after allegedly being sickened by THC-laced candy. (Brennan Linsley, Associated Press)

Re: “Lawsuit filed after candy samples at fair allegedly contained pot,” Aug. 8 news story.

The investigation of “at least three separate cases of people who said they were drugged” after eating a THC-laced candy bar at the Denver County Fair’s blindly obvious and clearly named “Pot Pavilion” calls to mind the nefarious litigation of the McDonald’s hot coffee lawsuit. The only clear investigation should be into the mindset of any individual who would blindly accept anything given them at a “Pot Pavilion” and not expect after-effects.

Christopher Dyer, Denver
