Re: “The final touch; Workers rappel to wrap up the Colorado State Capitol dome restoration project,” Aug. 14 news story.
I can’t believe the Capitol dome restoration project included changing the exterior color of the dome, which doesn’t match or really complement the main structure. Itap very hideous and looks like someone used left-over, watered-down paint from the “Mustang” statue at DIA. What a disgrace for the people of Colorado and tourists. For the $17 million spent, the Capitol dome should be a showpiece, not an eyesore.
