1 Waterlogged. A woman who is staying at a friend’s house in the 9500 block of Pecos Street, Thornton, called police because her friend’s daughter poured water on her Aug. 5. The daughter said she doesn’t want the victim staying there, so she poured three glasses of water on her. She was cited for harassment.

2 Left to rot. Police responded to the 9400 block of Heinz Way, Commerce City, because a woman who was walking in the area found a dead pony in a field. Officers called animal control to remove the remains Aug. 8.

3 Afraid of the big bad lawsuit. A man who lives in the 11800 block of Mobile Street, Commerce City, called police because he said a former employee was sending him threatening text messages. An officer read the messages Aug. 9, which were statements about suing a company. The officer said they didn’t count as real threats.

4 Unsatisfied customer. A mechanic who works at Avalos Motors, 5720 E. 64th Ave., Commerce City, called police after a customer threw an empty water bottle at him Aug. 9. The employee said the suspect was unhappy with the work done on his car, and the suspect said throwing the bottle was an accident. He was ticketed.

5 Teenage bingers. Residents in the 8900 block of Grant Street, Thornton, called police because three boys were downing vodka shooters in the parking lot. Officers cited the teens Aug. 5.

6 Running free. A patrolling officer saw a woman chasing her dog around the 6800 block of Clermont Street, Commerce City, on Aug. 5. She was ticketed for letting it escape her yard.
