Interview with Lance L. Long, DDS, and Trent M. Rold, DDS
Q: How did you get involved in this business?
A: Dr. Lance Long was a patient himself and started coming to this dental office to see Dr. James Roucis, the practice founder, at the age of 3. Arvada native Dr. Trent Rold joined the practice 19 years ago as Dr. Roucis eased into retirement.
Q: What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?
A: We work together with our patients to create custom designed treatment options for them. The patient can then choose which dental treatment option works best for them. We pride ourselves in treating patients with a conservative philosophy like they were a member of our own family.
Q: What do you like best about your line of work?
A: It is very exciting to help people achieve optimum dental health and a great smile. Improving someone’s smile can be a life-changing experience, and we value the opportunity to help them.
Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?
A: Helping our patients maximize their insurance benefits so that they can get the dental care they desire. Overcoming patient reluctance to pursue treatment they want because dental insurance sometimes has a strong influence on dental care decisions. We also enjoy helping patients overcome their dental fear.
Q: Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:
A: The current employee’s average length of employment is 13 years at Lakewood Family Dentistry. Dr. Long is now offering Botox treatment to help reduce or eliminate fine lines and wrinkles in the face. Dr. Rold has extensive training and experience with dental implant cases. Care Credit is being offered for additional financing options.
