1 Bike theft victim tries to return favor. On Aug. 16, Denver police responded to a theft attempt in the 200 block of Quebec Street. The victim told police that he witnessed a man trying to steal his bike. The victim grabbed the suspect and the bike and struggled with him. The suspect said he worked at Domino’s, someone had just stolen his bike and he wanted “this one.” The suspect escaped, but without the bike.

2 Suspect wants to go home. A woman was assaulted and robbed Aug. 13 near Veteran’s Park, 2100 E. Iowa Ave. Denver police responded and learned that a man asked to borrow the woman’s phone. When she took it out, he punched her and took off. The man was later apprehended and told officers he wanted to go home.

3 Soda can thrown. A man called Denver police Aug. 15 after he was struck in the head with a soda can thrown by a suspect in the 900 block of 21st Street. The victim had accused the suspect of selling drugs on the corner. The suspect became angry and threw the can.

4 Patron bails on restaurant bill. On Aug. 19, Denver police officers were dispatched to Denny’s, 1605 Federal Blvd., after a patron didn’t pay his bill. The suspect was leaving the restaurant and told staff he had to go to his bike to get his wallet. The suspect then rode off.

5 Drunk man returns. Denver police responded to a disturbance Aug. 17 in the 600 block of Wolff Street involving a drunk man. The officers contacted the man at an apartment complex. The suspect had been trespassed from the location three previous times for public intoxication.
