One of the first images taken by DigitalGlobe’s WorldView-3 satellite of an airport in Madrid.

Longmont-based DigitalGlobe released the first images from its new satellite, WorldView-3, on Tuesday.

The high-resolution earth imagery satellite is the first to offer 30-centimeter resolution capabilities to a commercial audience following the U.S. government’s decision to loosen its restrictions this summer.
