Canadian disco-punk band Death From Above 1979 is streaming its highly anticipated sophomore album in full a week early. “The Physical World,” is officially out on Aug. 9. The album is a pounding, pulsating ride, very much reminiscent of their magnum opus “You’re a Woman, I’m a Machine.”

The first single “Trainwreck 1979” was released early in July to mixed reviews, with many commenting their worries the band had gone too poppy, obviously forgetting the band’s tendency to throw in a curve-ball song or two to their setlists, such as their super-disco/dance track “Romantic Rights.” Those who stood behind the band, holding out their judgments for more material, were rewarded a week ago with “Government Trash,” which proved to fans they were about to get another punk-ridden, bass/drum classic.
