Oakwood Homes’ fast-selling ranch models have a flexible quality that works as a compromise for couples who have visited lots of homes, but can’t agree on the exact features they need. “We’re always hearing from people who tell us, ‘We’ve been shopping for years, but this is the first home we agree on,'” says Oakwood’s Natalie Myers.
At scenic Thompson River Ranch, just east of Loveland, Oakwood has a location that works the same way – a master planned community where the trails and amenities have a rural, open feel, but where Centerra shopping center is five minutes away and downtown attractions in Loveland and Fort Collins are close by, as well. In addition to Fort Collins, Loveland, Greeley, Windsor and other Northern Colorado areas, Thompson River Ranch is drawing buyers up from metropolitan Denver who are looking for ranch or other main-floor plans in settings that feel less congested than the neighborhoods they’re coming from, says Mike Welty, Sales Manager for Oakwood Homes. “We’re one of the only builders with this wide a selection of ranch plans, and we’re the only one that will entertain requests for custom changes in our plans,” he said, showing off four ‘Ranch House Collection’ models you can tour today – two of them ranch-style plans. Oakwood also provides a choice of settings — one of them “The Village,’ where ranches and main-floor masters are mixed in with family-sized two story homes; the other, The Enclave, where every plan offers single-level living. Neither has a formal age restriction. Even without an age restriction, some ranch buyers like the idea of not having a two-story next door,” says Myers. Oakwood has a choice selection of homes ready for move-in now, including one for a buyer wanting that single-level Enclave neighborhood. It’s a Riviera plan at 4648 Vinewood Way, with a second full bedroom-bath combination that would work as a second master suite. It has over 2,400 square feet of finished space, including Oakwood’s clever ‘smart space’ overhead with room for an extra guest bedroom/bath, or a hobby or media room. The price is $343,737. Oakwood has a lunch bar out, noon-to-one today, for you as you visit those homes. If you like the looks of one of those and are looking to move soon, ask about a special promotion in which Oakwood will help you with your moving expenses, provided you close in 30 days. You’ll see Thompson River Ranch’s pool and Amphitheater picnic shelter beside a tree-lined canal and trail; and experience how close this is to the shopping and dining at Centerra, two miles further up 25. My trip up from the Denver Tech Center in midday traffic took 50 minutes. Take I-25 north past 470, another 27 miles to Exit 255 (just past Johnson’s Corner); jog east onto the frontage road and north a half mile to River Ranch Pkwy; watch signs for the Ranch House models.DenverPostHomes.com
