BOULDER — Speaking Tuesday during his weekly news conference, Colorado coach Mike MacIntyre said he expects everybody that played last week in the victory at Massachusetts will be available for Saturday night’s home and conference opener against Arizona State.
Defensive end Christian Shaver, a true freshman from Sandy, Utah, was the only CU player to be taken to the locker room with an injury during the game against the Minutemen, according to CU. He was treated for an apparent ankle sprain.
Other players were “dinged” in the game against UMass.
“We’re still waiting to see (about injuries) but I think we’ll everybody back this week,” MacIntyre said. “But (some players) won’t be able to practice much this week. Some guys will really only be practicing Thursday and Friday.
“Hopefully, they will all be back. As of this (Tuesday) morning it looked like they would be back, unless there is a setback.”
